GO AND HIDE OR GO AND TELL

30Apr

We continue to see the power of the Holy SPirit effect the lives of the apostles and the lives of those around them.  How can learn from them.  How do we let the faith we have no longer be just a private affair but public domain fulfilling the command of Jesus to proclaim to the ends of the earth.

INFLAME MY HEART

29Apr

We see that God continues to work in and through the human heart.  THe saints testify to this reality, like wildflowers scattered across the generations of old they blossom for us and bring forth the fragrance of Christ to the world.  We look at St Catherine and her witness and see how we can rediscover the Spirit in our life.

Treasure in Heaven not on earth.

SAINTHOOD

26Apr

What is the process of recognizing a person as a saintly man or woman.  We investigate.  Then we look at the holy Popes: JOHN XXIII and JOHN PAUL II.  JEsus tells the disciples today as the Father sent him so he sends them (us).  The call to holiness is urgent and it is how we full embrace and live out our potential.

BREAKING BREAD

23Apr

We read the story of EMMAUS as the disciples walk only to discover a stranger accompanying them.  Then in a flash he is a stranger no longer.  In the breaking the bread, Jesus reveals his true identity to the disciples.  He continues to do so even today.  Jesus has chosen to make himself known in the  breaking of the bread. We explore this turn of events and what they mean for us as believers.

GOOD FRIDAY

19Apr

We follow Christ in and through his passion.  We journey with to Calvary.  We come forward to reference the cross, that instrument of torture and terror which is transformed by Christ's fidelity and obedience.  Pope Francis last year reminded us the the Cross is God's response, God's answer to our cry.  Through it we find,w e discover a force that will help us overcome our own difficulties in life.

WHAT WILL YOU GIVE

16Apr

Today we look into what might have cause Judas to do what he did.  Have we objectified others for our own personal gain?  Perhaps we have.  Every time we seek ourselves in love, we find our selves distant form love itself.
